ABOUT ME

I’m Julie Larson… I live in Minnesota, about 30 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.  I’m married to Jon, and we have all sorts of fun together, even after all these years. Nothing we have is perfect, including our marriage, but we love each other with our whole hearts and have learned to not sweat the small stuff. Jon and I have two adult daughters who I homeschooled through to graduation. I have two stepsons also. Being a wife and mom is the best gift God has given me. I currently work in the Small Groups Department at my church, where I get to do a wide array of things to help people on a daily basis. It is such a blessing.

Jesus and running are two things that have transformed my life, so I guess I can’t help writing about both of them. My family, running, and Jesus are at the top of the list of my favorite things. I am always trying to become a better person, and these things all help move me in that direction. Life is such a fun adventure! So much discovery and learning takes place while I’m on my feet. I am learning every day, and I love to share the things I’m learning along the way. My goal is to encourage and inspire people to be the best they can be in whatever it is they’re doing, to let people they’re not alone in their struggles, and to plant hope wherever I can.

I love to meet new people and find out what their story is! It’s so much fun because it’s kind of like a treasure hunt. It’s amazing what you can learn about a person in 5 minutes by asking a few simple questions. I also enjoy eating good food, cooking healthy meals, making fermented foods, and checking out new restaurants in the Twin Cities. I also love the outdoors, drinking coffee, music, and laughing. All of this being done with the people I love, and that sure makes life so much richer.

A couple of my favorite Bible verses:

I brought glory to You here on earth by completing the work You gave me to do. ~ John 17:4

Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. ~ 1 Peter 4:8
